D’addario Chromes Bass Strings are Flatwound using a flattened ribbon wire that is polished to a smooth finish.
These bass strings deliver the silky warm mellow tone that bass players love so much. The rich low bottom gives that flat wound sound as used in different genres like Jazz and R&B. They have however a wide range of tones depending on set up and technique. These strings are perfect for the double mute tick tack tone that old R&B bass players used to have.
